Eating out

When it comes to eating out, you are spoilt for choice in all styles of Basque cuisine. Basque country gastronomy, whether served up in gourmet restaurants, rustic auberge or small family run inn is everywhere.
There are also a large number of ‘tables d’hôtes’, up market bed and breakfasts that offer the option of evening meal, often eating informally with the family.
Local specialities include traditional classics like foie gras and confit de canard as well as a host of other culinary dishes, often garnished with wild mushrooms that grow locally.

Basque country cooking accompanied with the fine wines of the region provides for a memorable culinary experience.
