Golf de la Nivelle
Only two kilometres south of Saint-Jean de Luz, on the banks of the river Nivelle, La Nivelle Golf Club is an undulating 18 hole 6,105 metres par 70 course
with beautiful views over the mountains and the ocean, set on a classical parkland with mature trees.
Located in Ciboure, the course approaches its hundredth birthday and still remains rated as one of Europe's very best.
The course is short, however achieving par is extremely tough and the the tight fairways and small greens make it a challenge for even the very best golfer.
The Duke of Windsor played at the La Nivelle Golf Club in the 1930s, already a well-established course, having opened in 1907.
A bar and a restaurant are located in the clubhouse. The club is open to non members. The course is playable 7 days a week and offers facilities such as a shop, a golf club hire, electric buggies and trolley hire, as well as 6 tennis courts.
