The Sailors and the Rocher de la Vierge of Biarritz

The Basque storm raged on and the fishermen slowly lost faith, importantly, the boats were close to the harbour but were unable to dock.
The rocks were dangerously close and the waves too powerful. The men struck by the impossibility of the situation gave into the idea that this was to be their last moment, at this instant of helplessness, a bright white light appeared and guided the sailors safely into the harbour.
Not a person was lost in what would have been one of the greatest tragedies in the Basque history. The statue of the Vierge was constructed off the same coastline in memory and thanks to the miraculous event.
